With Mother’s Day upon us, I wanted to seize this opportunity to review some of art history’s rarely discussed baby antiques. While I am not a mother myself, I have been known to make many a baby blanket for those lucky ladies who are expecting a bundle of joy or a new grandchild. Hand-made objects for baby like tiny crocheted sweaters, knit blankets, crib quilts and the like are among the most coveted and sentimental collectibles.
