Renowned for building a 1932 Ford roadster that many consider to be the most iconic hot rod of the era, Southern California hot rod legend Doane Spencer also had a reputation for building both fast street cars and winning race cars. It would stand to reason that his own car would be something exceptional, and his heavily modified 1955 Ford Thunderbird indeed had a reputation for being unbeatable on the roads of Southern California. Now, two 1955 Thunderbirds with legitimate Doane Spencer history have come up for sale, even though Spencer originally built just one such car.
